One of the best vintage Men's watch Orient "Bambino Small Seconds"

The Bambino is a watch that anyone can recommend to every person when asks, “Hey, I want a classic timepiece that won’t cost a month’s salary - what should I get?”  (Since it is inception) the Bambino has seen numerous iterations—so, you can find many varieties of watch designs, so there’s certainly something for everyone within the line. Form 2018, Orient is unveiling a new version of the Bambino. The Bambino Small Seconds is the best one yet in many writer's opinions.
In the cases of Bambino timepieces being cheap usually is not a word you should think to be associated with a nice object meant to be worn by you. By not using the term lightly because this is a product even those with very expensive timepieces can really appreciate. The new (Form 2018 ) Orient Bambino Small Seconds (ss) is only cheap in price – but not certainly in quality or character. Let’s take a look at how Orient took what we feel is the best budget dress watch around and made it a lot better.

Japanese Orient has been around since 1950 but is more recently part of the larger Seiko conglomerate of brands. More specifically, it is part of the Epson family of brands, which include Seiko and Grand Seiko. Seiko as a company is known for producing high-quality and beautifully designed timepieces that don’t break the bank. But Seiko's not alone. There’s also Orient, another Japanese firm that takes the notion of a value-packed timepiece very seriously. And within Orient’s catalog of watches, there is perhaps no watch more celebrated than the iconic Bambino. Orient’s strengths are in its ability to render European-style classic watch designs in extremely good packages for the money.

This sub-register has been embellished with a concentric design which contrasts beautifully with the existing sunburst dial. The RA-AP00 SS is also the only contemporary classic watch to date to feature Arabic numeral hour markers (Version 2 has Roman numerals), posted at twelve, three, six, and nine. And akin to versions two and three, the SS opted for a borderless date display.
It will feel to anyone and to me as though Orient really upped its game on the case finishing. While most of the Bambino case is polished, the side flanks are brushed, giving the watch a very authentic high-end look. You even have an Orient logo in the crown, which most Seiko watches don’t even offer at this price point.

The RA-AP00 Small Seconds marks many firsts for the Contemporary Classic collection. For starters, instead of a long seconds hand, it features a small seconds display at the 6 o’clock position (hence the "SS" demarcation) converges with the rest of the contemporary classic collections that's with its domed dial, domed crystal, and overall size.
The dimensions are nearly identical to its predecessors at 40.5mm wide and 12mm thick. Another first is a see-through, exhibition case back. The watch is powered by the new caliber F6222 mechanical movement, a variant of the caliber F6724 that runs the rest of the AC00 line.

Let’s jump straight to the topic of the movement inside of the case. Most previous Bambino watches had rather primitive automatic movements that didn’t have a hacking seconds feature or even allow for hand-winding of the mainspring. A few years ago Orient changed all that with the release of the in-house made caliber F6724 automatic – which finally offers a modern movement for Orient timepieces. It was not until now that one of these newer movements showed up in a Bambino collection. Inside the Bambino, SS is a variant of the F6724 which is the new caliber F6222.
This automatic movement includes the subsidiary seconds dial over 6 o’clock. Making each of the models seem like a vintage-style formal watch design, which anyone can think lend itself well to any dress watch. The F6222 automatic finally offers both automatic and manual winding, as well as a hacking seconds feature (the second's hand stops when you pull out the crown). The made-in-Japan movement operates at a frequency of 21,600 BPH (3Hz) with a power reserve of approximately two days(40 hours). It also includes the date that is mention before.

At least the Bambino SS retains many of the fundamental elements of the line: there are three hands, a domed dial and crystal(as mention before), and a date( To the left of the “3” marker is a small date window). The most significant departure is indicated by the name: right over six, you’ll find a small-second sub-dial. Pair that with the 12, three, six, and nine configurations of the Arabic hour markers, and what you have here is a very classic-looking watch. Below 12, you’ll find the branding and “Automatic.”, unframed here so it’s not too noticeable, though I can see people taking issue with its placement. The Bambino SS will be available in white, champagne, and black.
